  • Complaints and Resolution Form

This form is intended for use only where informal resolution with the school has been attempted and has not resolved the concern.

Parents and carers are asked to raise concerns informally with the school in the first instance, as many issues can be resolved quickly through discussion. If informal resolution has not yet been attempted, this should be done before proceeding through the formal stages of the Concerns, Complaints and Policy.

The informal stage may only be bypassed in exceptional circumstances. For example, where the nature of the concern means it is not appropriate to attempt informal resolution.

    Informal: School Level Resolution

In most cases, concerns can be resolved informally by speaking directly to one of the following:

    * Your child’s class teacher or form tutor
    * A member of the pastoral or year team
    * Your child’s subject teacher (for concerns relating to a specific subject or lesson)

    Formal Stages

Stage 1 - School‑Level Investigation: Escalation to the Principal / Head of School.
Stage 2 - Trust‑Level Investigation: Escalation to the Trust to facilitate an independent investigation
Stage 3 - Complaints Panel Review: Escalation to an independent Complaints Review Panel.
