Preparation for Gosforth Junior High Academy's Forest School Gosforth Junior High Academy's Forest School, located in their award-winning garden, is coming together beautifully. North Gosforth AcademySki Trip Success In the final week ahead of the February half term, North Gosforth Academy students travelled to Andorra and spent a full-on week in the Pyrenees, with many skiing for the very first time. We were so impressed by their enthusiasm, resilience and the way they represented the school. Even after 4 hours of skiing each day, they kept pushing themselves, supporting each other, and ending every session with big smiles. Off the slopes, students explored the area, practised their Spanish, and ended the week with a fun disco and awards ceremony. We're thrilled to hear how much they enjoyed the trip, and how many are already excited for the next one! Gosforth Academy football team crowned City Cup Winners Huge congratulations to the Gosforth Academy U16 Girls Football Team, who beat Jesmond Park 2–0 in Wednesday's City Cup Final! Celebrating Outstanding Behaviour Gosforth Junior High are encouraging fantastic behaviour in lessons by implementing a 'Positive PRAISE Stamps' reward programme. The programme saw students working hard to collect stamps, and their efforts have truly shone! Thanks to the Newcastle United Foundation, Gosforth Junior High were able to offer an amazing incentive: a brandnew football strip for their top stamp collectors! North Gosforth Academy Spanish Spelling Bee Winners This term, we have seen the return of the Spanish Spelling Bee. All students in Year 7 and Year 8 participate in lessons in round one, and the winning teams from each class went head-to-head in the final on Monday. The effort and participation has been amazing, and we really want to congratulate our students on their resilience and hard work.
