Salary:           N11 £52,566 to £55,840 per annum

Hours:           Full-time, 37 hours per week, all year round. Hybrid and flexible working options may be considered.

Contract:     Permanent

Start date:    ASAP

Location:      Gosforth Group Head Office, Seaton Burn

You will be employed by the Gosforth Group and may need to work across all locations within the Multi Academy Trust as required.

About the Trust

About the role

The Head of Governance and Compliance will be responsible for developing the Gosforth Group governance and compliance framework. It will demonstrate a strong understanding of the Trust’s governance structure, constitution, procedures, schemes of delegation and other key documents, ensuring governance is delivered in line with these.

As a fast-growing multi-academy, trust, governance, and compliance are paramount. As such, we are looking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced professional governance lead.

The Head of Governance and Compliance will work very closely with the Board of Trustees. The Board comprises individual Trustees from diverse backgrounds, with a wealth of knowledge and relevant skills gained from various professional backgrounds. It is led by a Chair with extensive educational experience.

What we are looking for

We seek a forward-thinking, dynamic governance professional who can lead and manage the strategic development of trust governance arrangements. 

With highly effective influencing skills, you will be confident in advising the Chair, the Board of Trustees, and the Chief Executive Officer.
