Established on 1 September 2021, Great Park Academy was created to accommodate the educational needs arising from the expanding housing developments in Newcastle's Great Park area. As a middle school (deemed secondary), it uniquely serves students aged 9 to 16.

Initially operating from a purpose-built temporary facility on the Gosforth Academy site, the academy moved to its new, state-of-the-art, permanent school building in September 2025. Already a favourite among local families, Great Park Academy plays a pivotal role in Gosforth Group's long-term strategy for growth and educational excellence.
