We are excited to announce the Trust-wide results for our 2024 A Level assessments. These outstanding achievements are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, and school communities. As we celebrate these results, we recognise the relentless commitment to excellence that has propelled our students to achieve their academic goals.
Together, we continue to cultivate an environment that promotes learning, resilience, and personal development. Let us join in congratulating all our students for their achievements as we look forward to building on this success in the future.
Gosforth Academy is pleased to report that 80% of its Sixth Form students have successfully secured their first-choice university place. This is particularly impressive, considering 250 full-service applications were submitted to UCAS this year. The students will pursue various outstanding courses, including Engineering, Art, Medicine, Linguistics, Sport, Law, Games, and Zoology, at prestigious universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, Warwick, and Durham.
Principal Preit Chahal said, “Our ethos of ‘create your future’ is at the forefront during A Level results day, with students' destinations being the focus as well as grades. We understand that university is not the only option for further education. Some students have opted for apprenticeships in fields such as accountancy, business, and engineering with organisations like the NHS and Seta, while others are taking a gap year. We are proud of all their choices.”
