Jesmond Park Academy is one of the largest secondary schools in the region, with over 1,800 students. Since joining the Gosforth Group in 2020, the academy has seen significant improvements in leadership, behaviour culture, curriculum, and facilities.

A defining aspect of Jesmond Park Academy is its recognition as a School of Sanctuary, which demonstrates its commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students, particularly those from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds. The school also hosts the Hearing Impaired Additionally Resourced Provision (HIARP), supporting deaf students within a mainstream setting with Qualified Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People (QToDCs) and specialist Learning Support Assistants.
